View trough a frame.

Today I finally was able to put out some of my work on a black frame. I chose the black border thinking on the contrast that this create along with the white space and paper.  My ladies look totally gorgeous under this frame and I am really happy in how good they look. Seems to me like in life, all depends on the frame that you see trough.
Yes… I have now accepted, that I am under the magic of watercolor!! I have been playing around with this medium for the last two weeks and I admit that I'm loving it. The more you play the more you discover. Initially I saw a couple of tutorial of  Yao Cheng that inspired me, her approach is simple and open to explore all the possibilities that this type of paint has to offers . So I am under the spell of watercolor, trying to learn new techniques and why not? even starting to develop my own ideas.

The weekend is already here, so enjoy!

Sincerity.

"Sincerity"

Ink and water soluble crayons

It has been a while since my last post. I'm still exploring this style and to tell you the truth I am enjoying it. I am also playing a lot with watercolors but honestly I am not brave enough to show you the results just yet. Meanwhile, I have found the time to work on the "100 works of art challenge". If you want to learn more about this project you can click here: 100artworkschallenge. I'm really just starting along with short terms goals that keeps me inspired and with my hands busy.

Exploring new styles.

"Intuition"
 8x10
 Ink and water soluble colors.

I have been confined to my own "style", if you can call it that, for a long long time even thought I'm not even sure that I may have particular style.
The truth is that now I'm willing to open up to different ways of creating my pieces. And this is the result of one of these experimentations. This process comes naturally, and I think is part of the evolution of any creative journey. I don't know how long this stage will last but  for now I'm learning something new about myself and my work.
This kind of task needs a lot more attention and patience but I see it as a opportunity to explore and have fun.  I decided to call this piece "Intuition" because for the first time I'm letting her guide me. I hope you like her!

Watercolor love

A like watercolor a lot, but is a technique that I am far to master.
So, I'm keeping the advice of a friend "Is not the goal my friend is the road".
Here I am, enjoying the joy of this road.
